Nutanix has once again taken center stage in the world of cloud and infrastructure. On September 10, 2025, the company announced that Gartner recognized it as a Leader in the latest Magic Quadrant for Distributed Hybrid Infrastructure.
This is the third time Nutanix has appeared in this Magic Quadrant and the second time it has earned the coveted Leader position.
For anyone following the hybrid multicloud space, this is a big deal. Gartner evaluates vendors based on two key things — their ability to execute and the completeness of their vision.
Nutanix scored high on both, a sign that the company is not just keeping up with the future of cloud computing but actively shaping it.
Innovation and Vision at the Core

Lee Caswell, Senior Vice President of Product and Solutions Marketing at Nutanix, put it this way: the company’s strong position reflects its ongoing focus on innovation and customer success.
That sentiment rings true when looking at how Nutanix has been expanding its capabilities.
-
The Nutanix Cloud Platform, better known as NCP, is designed to let organizations run applications and manage data anywhere.
-
It works seamlessly across public clouds like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and even the new public preview on Google Cloud.
-
NCP is also flexible enough to support external storage and Kubernetes environments, while giving customers the power to deploy artificial intelligence workloads with ease.
From Banking to Healthcare
What does that mean in the real world? Companies across industries from banks to hospitals to manufacturers — are putting NCP to work.
A great example is First Foundation Bank in California. They rely on NCP to keep their virtual desktop infrastructure safe with a hybrid disaster recovery setup.
According to the bank’s EVP and CTO Adrian S. Darmawan, NCP’s biggest strength is scalability. If a disaster strikes, more machines can be spun up quickly.
That kind of flexibility keeps downtime and costs low while giving the bank confidence in its disaster recovery plan.
Adrian also highlighted another advantage, cost efficiency. Since NCP is elastic, the bank only uses resources when it actually needs them.
Plus, the license portability means it doesn’t matter where their machines or servers live, they can always use the same compute and storage licenses.
The cloud game is evolving fast. Nutanix is proving that it is not just part of the race but is running ahead of the pack.
